I ask my wife, "a solar water heater could save $450 a year and keep almost a ton of CO2 emissions out of the air; multiply that by 80 million houses in the USA....why doesn't every house have them?"
She answers, "because they are ugly and I don't want to see them on my house... or on my neighbors house. We have CC&Rs for just that reason."
So, if she feels this way, I imagine a lot of people feel this way.
What can be done to give this utility better curb appeal? thoughts?

Hi Eddie,
Great question. WE think this attached article might lead you in the right direction

It also helps if the unit(s) don't face the street. We have ours on the back of the house so that you can't see it from the street.
Then again, our home also faces the north, so here in Texas the predominantly southern sun makes that the best choice anyway. We kind of lucked out.
