I have had a dog in my life since the day I was born and over the last ten years our home has had two or three dogs at all times. My husband and I, with our two children, truly consider our dogs to be a part of our family.

As I started to live a greener lifestyle in all aspects of my life, I realized being an eco-friendly dog owner isn't that easy. My first big "green" thing I did with my dogs was start making homemade treats. I realized though that the treat container, dog dishes, beds, toys, everything were not as eco-friendly as I would like them to be. So, as I travel on this journey to becoming a more eco-friendly dog owner, I am hoping other dog owners will follow me and make some changes in their life as well.
