Do I need a Surveillance Camera

I'm weighing the pros/cons of surveillance cameras in my HA design.  First reaction is that they're kind of creepy.  No pets (except for one fish) or babies at home.

I'm in the same position, and I felt the same way.  I basically check on the house when I'm on vacation for peace of mind.
