Are there any disadvantages to getting Eco Friendly Appliances?

Hello there ... I have a question re: Eco Friendly Appliances. Are there any dis-advantages to getting them? Why isnt everyone getting them? Thinking about things like dishwashers, freezers etc.. Any advice appreciated. Thanks,

The big one is that they are just more expensive. But in the long run they are not - if you take into consideration the energy savings and the Total Cost of Ownership - then its a no-brainer.

Oh and what is the cost of having an environment we can feel proud to pass on to our kids?

I agree - the cost is the biggest hinderance. This site does have good prices for great products tho!
